TOBACCO-FREE POLICY IN EFFECT AS OF JAN. 1

Starting Jan. 1, 2017, a new tobacco-free policy takes effect at Bay Mills Health Center, which was approved by the executive council in 2016.

The policy prohibits the use of commercial tobacco products, cigars, pipes, e-cigarettes, vapor cigarettes, snuff, chew and hookahs will not be permitted in the Bay Mills Health Center campus or health center tribal vehicles. The policy is not intended to ban traditional or sacred tobacco use, or impact commercial tobacco use on personal property or personal vehicles.
