H. Wayne Tadgerson
(July 10, 1935 - February 24, 2010)

U.S. Veteran Wayne Tadgerson, 74, of Brimley  passed away late Wednesday evening, Feb. 24, 2010 at War Memorial Hospital. He was born in Raco, Michigan on July 10, 1935.

    Wayne attended Brimley High School, and went on to serve his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and later served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the VFW Post #9023, the American Legion Post #3, and a member of the Bay Mills Indian Community. Wayne enjoyed riding in his truck and 4-wheeler, hunting, and visiting and joking with people. He loved to share stories about his children and grandchildren.

    Wayne is survived by his seven sons: Aaron (Teresa) Tadgerson of Brimley, MI, Lynn (April) Tadgerson of Negaunee, MI, Danny (Terri) Tadgerson of Sault Ste. Marie, MI, Patrick Tadgerson of Brimley, MI, James (Joanne) Tadgerson of Negaunee, MI, Dennis Tadgerson of Negaunee, MI, and Raymond Tadgerson of Baltimore, MD; three daughters: Cheryl (Dave) Bernier of Brimley, MI, Jennie (Errol) Lukkarinen of Negaunee, MI and Carrie Hale of Sault Ste. Marie, MI; 21 grandchildren: Adam, Jesse, Billy, Matt, Alex, Andrew, Kyle, Cole, Levi, Leora, Amanda, Brad, Chantell, Kevin, Austin, Hayden, Tristen, Tony, Jessica, Nico, and Samantha; and four great-grandchildren: Ayden, Daniel, Lexi and Nickole. Wayne is also survived by a beloved cousin: Bonnie (Patrick) Ruel of Milwaukee, WI., numerous cousins, and dear friends.

    Wayne was preceded in death by his mother: Alice (Tadgerson) Bronkowski; son: Michael Tadgerson; and two beloved cousins: Jay and Walt Tadgerson.

    Traditional funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 28, 2010 at the Migizi Cultural Center in Bay Mills. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m.  on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010 at the cultural center and will continue through the night. Burial will be at Mission Hill Cemetery in the spring.
