Bea Parish
    Beatrice June Parish of Brimley died Jan. 29, 2011 at her home. She was born Sept. 9, 1924 in Detroit. Bea enjoyed being a grandma and great-grandma.
    She is survived by her husband, Francis “Peanut” Parish; her three sons, Michael (Lois) Parish, Gerald (Janine) Parish and Christopher (Joan) Parish, all of Brimley; her sister, Shirley (Walter) Bandstra of Brimley; and nine grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
    Her parents, James and Erma (Hovinen) Phillips, and two brothers, James and Gerald Phillips, predeceased her.
    Visitation will be held Thursday, Feb. 3 at Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church in Bay Mills from 10 a.m. to noon followed by a funeral service with Father Ted Brodeur officiating. Final resting place will be Mission Hill Cemetery.
    Memorial contributions to the Hospice of the EUP would be appreciated. Clark Bailey Newhouse Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
