Carolyn Irene Teeple of Sault Ste. Marie passed away on Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010 at War Memorial Hospital. She was born June 5, 1949 to Barbara and Edgar Teeple, Sr., in Sault Ste. Marie.
Carolyn had been an assistant optician with Dr. Finke’s office for years; receptionist for the Intertribal Council; held various positions with the Bay Mills Indian Community; Parent-Child Center of Bay Mills cook with training in special handling and food safety. She was a woman with a huge heart that would always be cooking or waiting on her family. She would do anything for anyone. She was a member of Bay Mills Indian Community.
Carolyn is survived by her mother, Barbara; husband, Michael Cornacchio; children, Wayne Assiginack, Jr., Richard (Bonnie) Assiginack, and Sherry Assiginack; sisters, Laurel Keenan and Marilyn Teeple; brother, Mervin Teeple; grandchildren: Dean Savard and Kyle Dillon; nieces and nephews: Lance Teeple, Daniel Teeple, Allen Teeple, and Sarah Teeple. Preceding her in death are her father Edgar Teeple, Sr.; sisters Joyce Siegal and Marla Teeple; and brother Edgar Teeple, Jr.
Visitation will take place from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 23 at Blessed Kateria Tekakwitha Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m., with Father Ted Brodeur as celebrant. Final resting place will be Mission Hill Cemetary.
