Brent O. Evans
(October 7, 1961 - October 31, 2011)
Brent Owens Evans, 50, of Brimley, Michigan passed away unexpectedly Monday evening, Oct. 31, 2011 at his home.
Brent was born on Oct. 7, 1961 in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. He attended Flushing High School, where he ran cross country, played basketball, and graduated with the class of 1980. Brent worked for the Bay Mills Tribe Water Authority. He was a member of the MRWA, AWWA, and the Bay Mills Indian Community. He loved riding his motorcycle and being part of the car races at Kinross Speed Park. He enjoyed collecting all types of artifacts. Brent was always a gentleman. Among other things, he would always open doors for any lady that crossed his path.
Brent is survived by a son: Keifer Evans of Bay Mills, MI; two brothers: Allan (Kathy) Jozwiak of Sparta, MI and Brian Evans of Brimley, MI; two sisters: Diane (Robert) Wirth of Colorado Springs, CO and Cherri Evans of Flint, MI; and his step-father: Dan Borgerding of Flushing, MI. He is also survived by a nephew: Cameron James Evans of Colorado Springs, CO; a niece: Dody Jean Jozwiak of Phoenix, AZ; and two close friends: Frank Toms, Jr. of Brimley, MI and Denis Baker of Cedar, MI.
He was preceded in death by his parents: George and Jean (Cameron) Evans.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011 at the Armella Parker Senior Center in Bay Mills. Friends may start gathering at the senior center at 1 p.m. that same day.
